Famous paintings by artist — the complete index

53 painters, 164 works, each one hand-painted to order in oil on canvas. Every link goes straight to the piece, its sizes and its published price.

This page exists so that nothing on the site is more than two clicks from the front door. If you know the painter but not the painting, start here. If you know neither and only know the feeling you want on the wall — start with the subject collections instead.

Everything below is a hand-painted oil reproduction, not a print and not a digital canvas transfer. We have grouped the painters by the movement they are usually filed under, because that is how most people search once they have a name, and because a room that already has one Impressionist usually wants a second from the same wall of history.

What a reproduction actually is, and what it is not

It is a painting: cotton canvas, stretched or rolled, oil paint built up in layers by an artist who has painted the same composition before. It is not the original, and we never suggest otherwise — the Certificate of Authenticity that ships with every piece names the original painter and states plainly that this is a modern hand-painted copy.

That distinction is also why the price is what it is. You are paying for brushwork, surface and time, not for provenance. A 24 × 36 inch reproduction of a well-known composition costs a few hundred dollars; the same wall filled with an original costs thousands. Both are honest purchases, they answer different questions.

If a painting is missing from this index

We have painted a few thousand compositions over the years and only a fraction are listed here. If you can send a title, a painter, or a photograph of the picture you have in mind, we will tell you within a day whether it can be painted, what size makes sense, and what it costs. Copyright matters: works still in copyright can be painted for private use only, and we will say so before taking an order.

Looking for a painting that is not listed?

Send the title or a photograph. You will get an honest answer about whether we can paint it, what size suits the wall and what it costs — usually within a day.
