Featured artist

Lin Feng

Pop art · Narrative oil painting · Shenzhen, China

Lin Feng paints art history with a wink: Van Gogh in pink X-glasses, a Mona Lisa that looks back and smiles. Beside them hang quiet interiors and small storybook characters setting off, suitcases in hand, for mountains and seas. The styles could not be further apart, and that is the point — each series is a different room in the same house.

He studied at Berlin University of the Arts from 2009, and his Train of Glory Years series was signed with a gallery in Berlin, where he held a solo exhibition the same year. Back in China, his Power of Hope series was shown as a solo exhibition in Shenzhen in 2018, alongside the Shenzhen and Guangzhou international art fairs and Art Expo Taiwan.

Every Lin Feng piece on this page is a one-of-one original. It ships with a numbered certificate of authenticity naming the artist, and when it sells, it is gone.

In a room

Paintings need walls, not files

An original oil is not a picture you scroll past. It changes with the light through the day — cool and grey in the morning, warm and amber at dusk. That is what the extra layers of oil are doing.

If you are unsure whether a piece suits a particular wall, send us a photograph of the room and its approximate dimensions. We will show you the painting at scale in your own space before you commit. There is no charge for this.

What you receive

The certificate

Every painting — commissioned or original — arrives with a numbered certificate of authenticity listing the title, finished dimensions, medium, the year it was painted, and the artist's signature.

For an original work this document is part of what you are buying. It is what distinguishes a painting from a picture, and it is what a framer, an insurer or a future owner will ask for. Keep it somewhere safe, and keep it with the piece if it ever changes hands.

Tell us what you want on the wall. Most originals begin as a conversation about a room.
