Collection
Sunflowers on a kitchen wall, irises in a hallway, a Japanese footbridge over a pond — the flower paintings people actually live with, hand-painted in oil.
Flowers are the one subject everybody agrees on. They do not need a wall large enough for a history painting, they do not argue with the sofa, and they survive a change of house. The ten compositions below are the ones we are asked for most often, and they are not interchangeable: Van Gogh's Sunflowers is a wall of yellow that warms a north room, Monet's Water Lilies is a low, horizontal calm that suits a sofa back, and the Almond Blossom branches want to hang where you see them on the way to bed.
There is a practical reason to choose the flower paintings rather than a photograph of flowers: the surface. Oil holds a ridge where the brush turned, and in raking light — the light from a window at the end of the day — those ridges read as petals rather than as pixels. That is why a print of Irises looks flat on a wall and a painted one does not.
All ten can be made in any proportional size. If the wall is the fixed thing, measure it and tell us; we will tell you which of these compositions survives being stretched to that shape and which one will look thin.
Flower paintings are usually hung lower than people expect. The centre of the canvas should sit at roughly eye level when seated, not when standing, especially in a dining room where the painting is seen across a table.
A single stem composition (Irises, Almond Blossom) holds up small — 16 × 20 inches is enough over a console. A field or a pond (Poppy Field, Water Lilies) needs width: below 24 inches it stops reading as a place and starts reading as a pattern.
Every painting in this collection is made to order and can be produced in a size that is not listed. Prices on each page are the published starting price for the smallest canvas; larger sizes step up on the same ladder, so there is no quote to wait for.
Questions
Something with its own light in it. Van Gogh's Sunflowers and Klimt-adjacent gold-heavy work carry a room with little daylight far better than the pale Monets, which go grey in a corner. If the wall is dark as well, choose a light frame — a heavy dark frame on a dark wall swallows the painting.
We can adjust within reason. Artists will not repaint Sunflowers in blue, but a ground shifted slightly warmer or a sky cooled by a shade is normal practice and we do it on request. Send a photograph of the room in daylight and say what bothers you.
From high-resolution images of the original, plus the painter's knowledge of how the surface was built. No reproduction leaves the studio claiming to be the original; the certificate names the source painting and the original painter.
Send the wall dimensions and the piece you have in mind. We will confirm the size that keeps the composition intact and the date we can actually keep.
